Preface: As I was a skeptic when watching every infomercial in the wee hours of the morning, I expect most of you are as well. IF YOU ARE INCLUDED IN THAT STATEMENT, I urge you to at least hear me out before bashing me over the head with the kitchen sink telling me I’m retarded. “Does that really work? They must be under the trainer’s wing for 3 months to get those results… No way it’s worth it.” I hear you. The bulk of my classes and focus was anatomy/physiology, nutrition, and health. “Any idiot with good nutrition and some daily activity can stay fit.” Which is true, mostly… I lacked the drive to stay on track with the work-outs that I had outlined for myself. I needed something that could make me better than I had ever been before. Instead of floating near the usual bit of shoreline, I wanted to push past the limits I had set for myself and metaphorically swim laps around my former self. This is my attempt at achieving a goal by means of a system that I would’ve laughed at myself for trying. Thank you in advance for your participation/opinions/questions and giving me some of your time :)
Ah the first day of a 60 day journey. Shall we?
I have to say that I was pretty excited to start something new. Since I didn’t play sports in college, my last block of constant activity was spring of my senior year playing tennis… And after landing a job that keeps me sitting in front of computer screens for 9 hours a day, I quickly saw my body begin to atrophy. I needed to do something. TADA!! Insanity! I have done a little of the P90X program, only because a friend of mine has the system and let me start off by saying this is nothing like P90X…
